London Metal act that surfaced in 1985, the group's sole album 'Ride The Tiger' was recorded with Irish vocalist David Montgomery, which some consider to this day to be a fine testament to British quality Metal. Montgomery had previously been a member of DERVISH, the band that supplied bassist Gavin Matthews to LEGEND.
TILT performed commendably at the Birmingham Rockfest in 1988, sharing a bill with WOLFSBANE, STARFIGHTERS and MARSHALL LAW. Montgomery quit to audition for an American act and conversely was replaced by American vocalist Gypsy. Poray was replaced by Danny Parker. The new line up released a four track demo in 1989.
Montgomery re-emerged fronting CARRERA, a Los Angeles band that included former MADAM X drummer Mark McConnell. By 1999, as DAVID SWAN MONTGOMERY, he was fronting the JONAS HANSSON BAND for their album 'The Rocks'. He would later issue a Celtic infused solo album 'New Grange' on Waterark Records. 2005 found Montgomery working with guitarist IAIN ASHLEY HERSEY.
